Pass Through Radius
The Pass Through Radius (also known as Proxy Radius)
service enables you to authenticate dial-up users via your own
radius server's. This service allows you to maintain your own
radius servers on your network whereby you will be responsible
for all maintenance of your servers.
When users dial in using their log-in information with a
select realm, ModemPops server will recognize the user as
your customer and will seek authentication from your server
(which stores the username and password), to validate the
logon.
For the Proxy Radius, you can choose to have a Shared realm
or a Private Realm.
Shared Realm: You share the log-in domain
with other companies and are able to save on realm set-up
fee. Your users will dial up to the internet using login ID:
username.yourdomain@vipdial.com
Private Realm: In this case you will have
to pay a monthly realm fee. The login ID of your customers
would be in the format: username@yourdomain.com.
